The Directors, Students, and Parents of the Oñate High School Royal Knight Regiment Band wish to welcome you to our web site.
The RKR Band Handbook has a lot of good information, so please take the time to read it. If you haven't already filled out the General Release and Medical Release forms. Please do so now. We have many band activities where these will be needed.

Don't forget, Parents! We have our first parent meeting Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the marching block. Bring a lawn chair and hear what's going on. These meetings will be held weekly (same time, same place). Be involved, stay informed!
Band Camp News:
Band Camp starts July 28th at 8:30 am. Dress appropriately. Bring sunscreen and water!!
The date has been changed for Concert by Knights. It is now set for August 5, 6:30 pm.
Breakfast and Lunch will be free all week. Breakfast is served at 8 am.
Parent meetings will be held every Monday, during Monday night rehearsal starting August 11th at 6:30 pm. Bring a chair, listen to the band updates, and stay informed. Stay to watch the band rehearse; the kids love an audience.
Please donate at least one case of water for the season. More information to follow.
Upcoming fundraisers include, Caliches gift cards, Prices raffle, cookie dough sales, car wash, Applebee's pancake breakfast, and an Oñate Band Gear raffle (O-hat, polo shirt, & show shirt). Information will be sent out about each fundraiser.
Bands of America Trip:
The Bands of America (BOA) trip is $600 per student. The first payment of $150 is due on August 29, then proceed with $150 payments due on these days: September 12,
September 26, and
Tax Deductible Donations
The RKR Band Boosters is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Donations to the general account (not student accounts) are tax deductible under the IRS Code.

Class Fees and Financial Responsibilities
As you know every good program requires a financial responsibility in order to maintain success. Students of the band are the ambassadors of the entire Oñate High School. In order to function as a program, we must require a financial responsibility. There are 3 basic fees that your child will be responsible for throughout the year. We divide them this way for ease of understanding.
Student Necessities-Shirts, Hats, Shoes etc. meaning if they wear it, they buy it. These funds cannot be fundraised.
Class Fees-are established to help fund the general budget of the band. These fees are for music, staff, transportation, equipment, materials, etc.
Fundraised Monies-every student is expected to fundraise above and beyond in order to help support the general fund of the band. The more we fundraise the more we can do as a group, which betters the experience for the entire band.
